By Jarrod Whaley

The 2016 California Adaptation Forum, scheduled for September 7-8 in Long Beach, California, will the second annual gathering of more than 1000 leaders representing government, business, and community interests. The goal of the event is to provide a forum through which to discuss strategies for the future of California, with an eye toward how the state might best be able to adapt to an uncertain future in which population growth continues unchecked, water resources are further stretched, and sea level rise threatens our costal communities—among other things.

Facing these issues with a plan is of dire importance, and we're glad to be able to help in some small way by supporting the California Adaptation Forum.
