Veggielution Community Farm was created in 2008 to help people make healthy food choices and to provide opportunities for connecting with the natural world. They are fostering a sustainable food system through their urban farm that engages the community by providing access to organic and local food, create youth leadership opportunities, and develop creative solutions to environmental and social justice issues.
Veggielution offers students the chance to add to their education on the farm. Whether they’re directly learning farming skills, or translating materials into Spanish/Vietnamese, there are many ways for people to connect through food and farming.
Veggielution runs a variety of programs that bring people to the farm. With programs like Art in the Garden, Yoga on the Farm, and potlucks, Veggielution is creating more than just an organic farm; they are developing a community.
