Sonoma County Office of Education Will Host Maker Education Conference

In an effort to spur STEM education activities in Sonoma County and beyond, the reMAKE Education Summit will bring interested parties together August 3-5 in Sanata Rosa, California. The goal of the conference is to provide training and advice to teachers who wish to bring the Maker Movement into their classrooms. The Sonoma County Gazette provides a bit more detail:

Girls Day at the Tech, May 7: Everybody Makes!

As you may have seen in a previous post to this blog, Abe Farag Family Foundation is a proud sponsor of San Jose's Tech Museum of Innovation and their "Girls Days at the Tech" events. Bay Area Nonprofit Will Be Granted Discounted Office Space

Abe Farag Family Foundation is happy to announce that it is offering a grant to one Bay Area nonprofit organization of low-cost office space in the coastal community of El Granada, CA. The office space in question is about 1300 ft2 in size, and the grant will cover 50% of the grantee's rent cost on an ongoing basis.
