Sonoma County Office of Education Will Host Maker Education Conference

In an effort to spur STEM education activities in Sonoma County and beyond, the reMAKE Education Summit will bring interested parties together August 3-5 in Sanata Rosa, California. The goal of the conference is to provide training and advice to teachers who wish to bring the Maker Movement into their classrooms. The Sonoma County Gazette provides a bit more detail:

STEM Expo Is Like a Science Fair...But Better

Based in Placer County, California, STEM Expo is shaking up the notion of the traditional Science Fair with a reimagined event that adds presentations by renowned experts, family-friendly learning activities, and entertainment. Completely free and open to the public, the event is sponsored by STEM Expo Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
